It's definitely a money sink, but you can build a budget deck easily enough - duplicates of the same starter set usually do fine to get you a tourney-legal deck. And the game has definitely taken off - check out.

I really like the gameplay of Star Wars: Destiny. A very well designed game with a good balance of strategy, deck-building, and luck. It’s a strategic game that doesn’t take forever to play. I also love the dice aspect of the game. It adds a fun dimension to the game that not many CCGs have. This starter set will set you up well to start building decks and adding more cards from booster.

Ambush on Jedha is the second scenario available for Star Wars Destiny: Battles. In this scenario, players will face off against the Jedha Partisans and their leader, Saw Gerrera. This scenario plays very differently compared to Raid on Starkiller Base. Ambush on Jedha leans into the printed abilities of the Jedha Partisans and the accompanying battlefield “War-Torn Streets”, so you can.
Star Wars: Destiny is a collectible card and dice game (CCG). This means that a) the game is played using both cards and dice, and b) new cards are added to the game over time through booster packs that include random cards of different rarities (that is, some cards are harder to find than others, and you never know what you are going to get in a pack).
